The goal of this event is to honor breast cancer survivors and recognize the important work that Philadelphia-based, global nonprofit Breastcancer.org does in supporting them in their battle against breast cancer. As the world's leading online breast health and breast cancer resource, Breastcancer.org helps millions of people affected by breast cancer understand and interpret complex medical information so they can learn what to expect and make the best decision for their lives.
The Neiman Marcus event is a kick-off for the Breastcancer.org Rock the Ribbon concert, a night honoring the nonprofit's 10-year anniversary. Grammy Award-winning artist Harry Connick, Jr. will be the evening's featured performer. Philadelphia native and renowned musician and songwriter Lauren Hart will emcee. Rock the Ribbon will be held at the Philadelphia's famed Academy of Music on October 30, 2010.
Two premiere tickets to the Rock the Ribbon concert will be raffled off at the Neiman Marcus event. Additionally, the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders will attend the fashion show, walking the runway alongside the breast cancer survivors to show their support. Radio station B101 also will be in attendance, with mid-day on-air host Jenn Ryan serving as the fashion show emcee.
