"The opening of this club on Federal Hwy complements our existing club at I-95 and Gatlin Boulevard, in the Tradition, and provides the residents of the Treasure Coast greater access and convenience to an exceptional fitness experience," said Louis Welch, CEO of L.A. Fitness. The new state-of-the-art Sports Club expects to employ 50 people ranging from part-time group fitness instructors to full-time club staff. The club features full court basketball, three racquetball courts, a three-lane lap pool, a whirlpool spa and spacious locker rooms with showers and saunas, as well as a separate group exercise studio and a separate indoor cycling room. These amenities complement a full array of equipment, including over 80 pieces of the latest generation cardio equipment with individual viewing screens, selectorized circuit training, and free weight areas. Group fitness instructors lead more than 60 classes per week covering every level and degree of intensity from yoga to fast-paced aerobics. Personal training and babysitting services are also available.
The Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new facility, located at 1901 N. Federal Highway, on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. to celebrate the opening.
