Keele University Medical School

Keele University Medical School is the medical school of Keele University, Staffordshire, England. The pre-clinical course is taught on the Keele University campus in Newcastle-under-Lyme and the clinical course is mainly taught within the University Hospital of North Staffordshire in Stoke-on-Trent, and at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, Shrewsbury. Medical students are also attached to District General hospitals in Stafford, Shrewsbury and Telford, as well as general practices in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding area. The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury became an associated teaching hospital in 2007. As of 2008 the school accepts 130 British medical students per year and an additional 10 students from overseas making Keele the smallest 5 year medical school in the UK in terms of student numbers.

Medical School, The University of Zagreb

Established in 1917, the University of Zagreb School of Medicine is the oldest educational institution for medical training and research in the South-East Europe. Apart from the vigorous publication activity resulting in 1,323 papers published in high-profile international journals, including 222 co-authored with the renowned members of international research community (mainly from the USA, United Kingdom and Germany), the researchers at the Zagreb School of Medicine successfully participated in a number of international research projects. Over the past six years five projects were financed by the European Framework Program FP5, seven projects by the FP6, and one project has recently been approved for the FP7 financing. Five other projects received support within the framework of COST actions, two within the TEMPUS program, and one in the recently established Croatian-Indian research collaboration. Finally, there is a number of research initiatives and bilateral collaborations between Croatian and international research groups supported by Fogarty International Research Collaboration, Fulbright, DAAD and the Wilhelm von Humboldt Foundation.

Medical University-Varna was established in 1961 by a decree of the National Assembly of Republic of Bulgaria as a pursuant to Higher Medical Institute. In 1995 the latter was transformed to Medical University. This establishment is the third largest Medical University in the country and aims to provide adequate healthcare for people living in this Northeastern Bulgaria. For more than forty years the reality of Health becomes a part of students, researchers, instructors and specialists life thanks to this University. Plenty of incredible persons and specialists have left their unique presence in the Medical University of Varna. Although quoting would be difficult, the university staff keeps their decrees of professional work and persistence, ethics, mission and last but not least the excessive humanity. Since its establishment 8351 Bulgarians and 977 foreign students from 45 countries have graduated from Varna Medical University. However the numbers do not matter by themselves if every alumnus of the University doesn't bring in his heart the University's values which history is never going to change. The truth value called person in the cause of Medical University - Varna that everyone of us percepts in his own way.

The University of Mostar (Croatian: Sveučilište u Mostaru; Latin: Universitas Studiorum Mostariensis) is the only Croatian language university in Bosnia and Herzegovina at this time.
